no one has any news?

well,
this is the article i was going to write after sxsw (i would have named it down with grups), but new york magazine beat me to it.

if you get to the fifth page, you get this golden nugget:
"You have to have a little bit of Dora the Explorer in your life," he says. "But you can do what you can to mute its influence. And there's no shame, when your kid's watching a show, and you don't like it, in telling him it sucks. If you start telling him it sucks, maybe he might develop an aesthetic."

but there is a voice of reason:
"And you know what? Giving your kid a mohawk is fucked up, too."

isn't it ironic that i have this crystal pepsi tshirt from the 80s that i bought for 70 bucks in the east village? maybe we can go drink PBR at a dive bar? never mind the fact that somewhere in rural mississippi there's a poor dude who has held the same crappy job for 50 years, wearing the same shirt and drinking PBR in a dive bar because he needs to relax and it's his only shirt that doesn't smell like pig blood from the factory.
