i've been on a major robyn hitchcock trip lately. this guy is amazing. his best albums i've come across so far are the soft boys' psych-punk classic underwater moonlight (robyn has been in/with about 15 different bands) and his recent one with the venus 3, olé tarantula, which is honestly really good.

his music’s always surreal (he’s really influenced by syd barrett) and at its best, it’s brilliant, beautiful stuff. also, good music for spring:
